ABC - propaganda

So as I mentioned in the previous post on Friday the 20th I went to O2's ABC (nightclub). The Friday night at ABC is called Propaganda. According to the website it is the UK's biggest indie night, and it is open 11 - 3 am.
From what I can see on the website ABC only does 2 other nights, Jellybaby on a Thursday and Love Music on a Saturday. I have heard really good things about Jellybaby, and I am determined to get there soon. However I haven't really heard so much about Love Music. Anyway onto Propaganda...

The queue was super long when we arrived, which was probably about half 11 but we found a friend quite near the front and so joined her.
This was my first time at a night at ABC, but I have been in buying tickets before. The first thing i noticed was there were quite a lot of stairs, which proved an issue when I was leaving!
Anyway we finally made it up the stairs and the place is HUGE!!! I think it is possibly the biggest dance floor I have seen, however that would make sense as the venue is also used for gigs.
There are different levels to ABC, and I don't think I managed to get to all of them!
When you enter, the dance floor is sort of sunken a bit, so you have to go down a few steps to get to it (I did manage to slid down these stairs at one point in the night!). There is a bar on this level, and a cloakroom, then down a few more steps and there is a much smaller room, with different, quieter, music and another, less busy bar. Another thing about ABC it's ceiling was really high, no risk of anyone banging their head in there!

The music was really good, and EVERYONE was singing along, but then I do like indie music. I would say if you don't like indie music then obviously don't go along! I was a really good night, but I think I prefer a slightly smaller club, or going with a bigger group of friends, as there were only four of us and me and another friend did lose the other two for about half an hour! However we eventually found them and continued out night!

It was a really good night and I would defiantly go back to Propaganda!

p.s. I am doing a skydive in March and I am fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust, so if you could donate anything I would be really grateful! Thanks

What's to come!

Ok so it has been far too long!
I got back to glasgow on Friday the 20th and it is so good to be back!
Here is a quick run-down of what i have done since I have been back:
Friday 20th: Flat party, then O2's abc Propaganda.
Saturday 21st: Flat party, didn't make it out, but some friends went to the Garage and said it was really good.
Tuesday 24th: Strathclyde union and then Kushion.
Thursday 26th: Gorgeous sunrise, pictured here.

Friday 27th: Flat party, then Common.
Sunday 29th: Sport clothes shopping.

I will probably do separate posts on each of these, but just a wee taster of what is to come!
And on another quick note, before I moved to Glasgow I didn't realise that different nightclubs are good on different nights, for example O2's abc is really good on a Thursday night, whereas Kushion is better on a Tuesday. Just something to think about if you are going out in Glasgow, or really any big city!

2012

Ok so I think it has become clear that I am really bad at doing regular posts and my life is not that interesting. I mean there are interesting and exciting bits, but generally it's not drama central.
Anyway I am going to go in a different direction and hopefully it will be more interesting =]

So I decided to go to the University of Strathclyde in the end and moved to Glasgow in September.
I love Glasgow already and being back in my hometown just isn't the same, I like seeing all my friends and family again, but as a city I prefer Glasgow.
One of my new years resolutions is to explore Glasgow more, I have found my way around the area I live in but not much else, so I thought as I explore the largest city in Scotland, I would share my finds and experiences here!

It might be a bit quiet for the next few weeks as I won't be in Glasgow much, but after that it should pick up.

Hope you enjoy what's to come!
